YouthCaN Hike the World!
The purpose of this projects is to encourage people to learn about the global environment and share their experiences through e-mail and telephone communication, video conferences and this web site.

The full description of the project:
People of all ages should take a hike with a group in their own communities. During this hike they should collect information and take pictures of the environment for example, the weather, animals, insects, rocks, trees, water and human interaction with this world. The information that is collected by the groups should be posted on the YouthCaN Forum <youthcan@us.iearn.org>
. The hikes will take place when most appropriate for participants. We are trying to have activities every month!

Sharing:
We will try to arrange special communication links for those interested in sharing their experiences via video conference, telephone or iearn chats!

Age/level of project participants: All ages.

The Big Questions:
Here are a few things to think about and report back to YouthCaN on

1- What is the weather like?
2- What kind of animals do you see?
3- Could you describe the animals?
4- What kind of trees(or habitats) surround you?
5- Is there any kind of human pollution? If yes what kind?
6- What is the color of the foliage?
7- What is the distance that you can see?
8- What is the distance of your hike?
9- Could you convert the distance into feet (or meters, kilometers, miles...)?
10- What is the elevation of the highest point of your hike?
