Piping Plovers (New York City)

Every Year YouthCaNers from New York City, USA go out to Breezy Point, New York to help protect the endangered species--Piping Plover.

The feathers of the Piping plover and the eggs they lay are very similar in color to the sand, therefore some people when they are on the beach area are not aware that the Plovers nests are in the sand.

We help protect the Plovers by setting up (red) flags and fences around the Plover's nesting areas.
