If you would like to join us for activity day, plaese email us at youthcan @ us.iearn.org
We need to know who is gonna come to activity day with the NYC YouthCaN. For those of you who don't know what activity is, I can tell you. Activity Day is the Saturday before the conference and during this day we take some of the people who are coming to the conference and we explore some areas in New York. This year, we have decided to have two options for Activity Day. So the choices for Activity Day this year are:
A. Central Park:
Join us for an exploration of this 843 acre paradise in the middle of Manhattan. You will be among many international visitors including tiny warblers who have flown all the way from their winter homes in the tropics to join you. Forests, lakes, bridges and castles await you. After we explore some of the wildlife of Central Park we will have a solar powered picnic. Central Park on Google Maps
B. Northern Manhattan parks along the Hudson River:
This outing will cover a little more ground. We will start in Inwood Park on the north end of Manhattan, travel south by the Cloisters and the gardens Fort Tryon Park, then work our way south along the Hudson River to the famous Little Red Light house and continue our hike south, along the Hudson. Each trip will depart from the Central Park West steps of the American Museum of Natural History at 9:00 AM on Saturday, April 24th.
Since so many people are coming this year, we YouthCaNers would appreciate it if you could e-mail back to us if you will be participating in Activity Day and if you are, we would like to know how many people will be accompanying you. The e-mail address is youthcan [at] iearn.org. Thank you and see you all at the conference...^_^ have a good day...=]
